MISTAKES TO AVOID IN CHRISTIAN DATING; part 2
This is a continuation of my last Blog Post on a couple of "mistakes to avoid in Christian Dating"
If the last post blessed you, I'm certain this one will too. And if you have not read the last post, I recommend that you do, just Click Here to read
Thank you and enjoy your read.
Now here's the continuation...
"Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers" 2 Corinthians 6: 14
First thing to note is that this verse is not gender specific dear Believers.
Christian girls, don't date unbelieving Men
Christian Men, don't date unbelieving women.
Alot of people think an unbeliever refers only to people of a different faith but in actuality a person who has not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior is an unbeliever, it doesn't matter whether they bear the name Peter or Joshua or go to church every other Sunday; they must be saved and if I may add; intentional about their relationship with God.
Side note- Dear Believers, you're called a Christian for a reason, so live a life Worthy of your calling, mirror Jesus in your relationship and make sure that all your actions and inactions in relations to the person you are dating glorifies God
Back to not being unequally yoked- It's important that you know that the Man/ Woman God has for you is one that will Love and serve God with you, building a Godly home and having kids brought up in the ways of the Lord with their parents as Godly models.
I'll remind us of what happened when the wisest man in the world started relationships with unbelievers.1kings 11:4
Remember that "You can't change them", only God can.
The decisions you make today affects not just you but those around you and the generation to come so make sure you're not letting your emotions lead you to the wrong path, instead be led by the Spirit.
. . . .
STOP ACTING DESPERATE; BE CONFIDENT
Stop stalking people or acting desperate.
It's weird when a woman seems desperate, Yes?
Well, I'm here to inform you that it's equally very weird when a man is obviously desperate.
It's not attractive.
Be wise and discerning enough to tell when a girl is interested in you from when she is completely uninterested.
And this is even if the Lord told you in a dream that the Lady was your wife.
There are wise, less obsessive ways to approach a lady.
I've seen some disturbingly desperate behaviours displayed by guys at church towards ladies they are attracted to.
Please don't be that guy.
You sef, you be Spec.
Bonus Advice- JUST DO IT
For how long were you going to keep organizing bible studies and prayer meetings with her?
When will you tell her you like her?
Lol
This is in no way advising that you rush a relationship decision- NOT AT ALL.
But I hope you're not using "I don't want to rush things" as a way of justifying actual fear..
Don't let fear stop you from building something beautiful.
Please talk to her bro.
If you really like her and you know it's God's will, just do it!!!
